there is no one in the team indispensable
if saurav can be relegated to state side because of his continued poor performance then even sachin should have the same treatment
now the odi's are more competative and physically tougher than ever(especially for bowlers and fielders)
its necessary for the team to have a better fielder and consistent batsmen than just a batsmen
so i do feel if sachin performs well with both bat as well as in his part timers he could still be there in the odi team
but he needs to be more consistent
in the alst 4 years he is not the usual sachin of 90's
yes he become older and matured
but he also needs to score consistently to cement his place in the team
both srilanka and champions trophy(also malaysia tournament)will give us a clear idea about sachin's ability
if he fails in all these 3
then he should be replaced by a in form player
