| Tendulkar I have like many others lamented the sheer difference between Tendulkar of 1994-1999 and his batting of late. Many, many failures and the occasional huge score. For a long time now he has consistently not looked the best player in the team, often outplayed (not only in scores but in manner) by Lazman and Dravid. It was very disappointing to see.
HOWEVER, since returing from this long injury lay off, he seems to be batting absolutely beautifully. Admittedly it is only one day stuff, but he really is batting better (I have been watching Sky live today and yesterday) than at any time since the last world cup. I am actually now pretty optimistic that in tests Tendulkar can regain some of his former performances. Even the most ardent fan would have been disappointed to see him past his best. Maybe this rest has rekindled his desire and talents.
I am now really looking forward to seeing him bat in the test series in South Africa. |
