it's hard to know your judgement criteria - most of there "average" players have had far too few games to know (have you seen them?).

and the evidence is that most of the old lot are currently unemployed in the cricket world (let's not over-romanticise rubbish - streak and flower aside - we were always little more than average. now we're little more than teens with who knows what potential - never to be fulfilled)

well , you could find a second XI oz team which would perform better than most other first teams ... but what'd be the point in that? it would only be better for the individuals in question!!!
