I think Sydney will be Langers last test and i reckon Gilchrist will go after the world cup. If this comes to pass, then we will only have three veterans left (Hayden, Ponting, Lee)
Considering it is only the CA marketing boys that are keeping Lee in the team, and Hayden is way past his best, those two guys probably won't last too much longer in any case.

Two thirds of the team gone. We will still have plenty of talent, but the void of experience will hurt badly. The Australian selectors knew this day was coming, and has know for a long time - their inability to take action in maintaining the balance between youth and experience was criminal. Martyn should have been gone years ago, one of the two openers likewise. Brett Lee is only good against no 10 an 11 - he should have been moved on for someone with talent. And Cameron white should have played at least 25 tests by now, in the capacity of all-rounder. But should-ofs and would-ofs are pointless i suppose.

There are positives though. Firstly, the rebuilding stage is always good to watch - no more of the same tired old faces. We do have plenty of talent in the wings which should keep us on top. And world cricket is weak ensuring that Aussie teams will only face insipid opposition in the forseable future, with only Pakistan posing any semblance of a threat to our continued dominance
