Martyn is already a forgotten man. For me, he will be remembered as a selfish cricketer - one who managed to score runs when his position was under threat, only to drift back into mediocrity. Rarely came up with the goods when Australia really needed it, and generally, a fair weather cricketer. I suspect the Aussie selectors regret bringing him back after he was dumped after the 2005 Ashes.

No disrespect for W.A - they are a great sporting state and regularly produce champions like Langer.
