Hello,

Just back from Oz, not surprised one bit that Langer has retired and I expect to see more retirements after the World Cup (if they win), probably Hayden and Gilchrist.

This is exactly what I was predicting before the Ashes series, and why I felt that the focus was too much on winning the Ashes and not on creating a long term winning team.

The Aussies may have won the Ashes with a team of old men, and will probably win the World Cup too, but the long term knock on will be huge.

Put it this way, the Australians are now in decline, and I am very much looking forward to 2009, when England should win the Ashes back.
