I remember 2005...

Liverpool won the Champion's League.
Michael Schumacher did not win the F1.
The Crusaders won the Super 14.
The Cheetahs won the Currie Cup

oh and there was a nasty rumour going about that England won the Ashes...I'm going to need a source for that one.

Ok sorry just being a bit silly.

Based on current form I am going to go with Ricky Ponting, as much as it hurts to say so. This is because there are less 'maybes' about him posting up some very big scores.
