The only problem with calling someone like Chapple up is that they're unlikely to be particularly match fit. If an Academy bowler were to be called up, they would have some fitness behind them having played all winter. However, I wouldn't pick an Academy player unless they were in form and capable of doing the business when asked of them, i.e. now.
