I don't think that the Hogster should be called up, for the following reasons:

1. Since the beginning of 2005 (two years ago), Hoggard has played just nine List A matches. He has not had enough match practice in recent times to merit a place (indeed, he hasn't played since 12 April 2006 in List A matches).
2. In those last two years, he averages one wicket a game at an average of 40.44.
3. All but two of those games were played at Headingley - too accustomed to home conditions, and hence may not be able to adapt to ODI conditions in the West Indies.
