I personally think that instinctive strikers like Afridi, Gilchrist or Dhoni are more likely to have a go at the record simply because it is now there. Calculating big hitters like Symonds and Pietersen do not seem to hit sixes as often as their high strike rates would suggest; there seem to be boundaries mainly in their tally.

Having said that, for some reason I feel that Gayle is going to be the next man to do it and so I voted for him myself.
