Wow! That is really unbelievably stupid - and what does it achieve for anyone? Even if you are not popping in and out to work, a full day event such as a 50 over cricket game should not involve voluntarily imprisoning yourself, surely? I have been to several whole day events where stepping out for a while has been the only realistic chance of getting a half-decent lunch, for example. And in Australia last year and Hong Kong last week (where I was lucky enough to have tickets for the sevens), leaving the stadium was necessary for anyone who wanted to smoke (not me, but there are some who do like to smoke a substance which is legal all over the world).
What comes next? Test match tickets with a condition that you can't leave and re-enter before the end of the match? In this day and age, controlling exit and re-entry passes really is a piece of cake and there is no reason at all that I can think of why they should not be routinely available at the World Cup.
