I only mentioned cricket as i have a couple of South African friends who are constantly complaining that SA never play their strongest team (also this is a cricket board
). Looking in as an outsider it does appear that the team SA put out is never the strongest that they could put out.

Sorry, I never meant to say that they werent interested. What I meant was to speed up the development of "non white" players and avoid the loss of them. It seems to me that their must be millions of non white players in SA and i would imagine that from this a fair few must be talented, some very talented. Are these players being developed or are they drifting away from the game? Thats what I was getting at, I apologise if I'm wrong but from the outside looking in their doesnt seem to be too many non white players coming through the provincial system.

Yes, the one weak link SA have had since their readmission is the lack of a quality spin bowler!

Thats true, IMO though I dont think the quota system is the best way to do it.....
