Worst commentator? Gosh there's so many!

The most irritating by far in my opinion has to be Henry Blofeld, I know it's not 'popular' to criticise Blofeld but I just find him intensely annoying. When I'm having to listen to TMS (which isn't often, admittedly) usually when I'm at the gf's all I want to hear is a commentary about the cricket or at least cricket related banter, gossip and chat - certainly not about wandering errant butterflies, moths, insects or planes flying overhead, I do wish he'd focus his attention on the job at hand. Blofeld isn't cutesey, charming or charismatic - he's just damned irritating and I wish they'd get rid of him.

Of the others, I find Ramiz Raja hopelessly biased towards Pakistan and incapable of offering an unbiased opinion on anything at all really. I know English commentators tend to be biased towards England (particularly Botham) but considering they're commentating on England matches to primarily English audiences I find that more forgivable.

Of the others they're all much of a muchness, they all say very incisive and illuminating things as well as some pretty daft things as well and a lot of what they say you need to take with a pinch of salt.

I know Botham, Boycott and Willis irritate a lot of people, but that's the individuals themselves - they all have useful things to say and rubbish things to say - you simply have to winnow the trash from the good, they don't bother me generally because I simply reject the rubbish they say.

My favourites are the ones who know what they're talking about regardless of who they are and whilst I don't always agree with everything they say - much of it makes a lot of sense. Hussain and David Lloyd rather spring to mind in that category.

We're all different and look for different things I guess.
