What an ignominious final wicket: a bit like bagging Tufnell or Walsh. I was impressed that Giles got Lara for his 100th wicket: now that's the way to manage a big moment with style. A bit like bringing up a batting landmark by slipping a Shane Warne delivery stylishly through the covers

I've an idea a couple of other recent landmarks have been notable in their own right... but can't recall: I'm sure at least one bowling target clocked in the WI series was a big scalp. There have been some duds as well though: century partnerships brought up with leg byes or horrible, miscued slogs of long hops and that sort of thing.

Any nominations for the most classily achieved landmark in cricket?

I'm assuming that Bradman's final innings will be, forever, the classic dud with the bat: any close challengers?
