| I cannot agree to that, although there does not seem to be any realistic way of curtailing "audience sledging" or even outright abuse. They have tried in football, but not very successfully because "supporters" are not always obvious. At the end of the day, players are also human and persistent taunting behind their backs can get on anyone's nerves and upset their concentration. It is very easy for a bystander to say that "players should not mind the viewers antics", but to actually be at the end of it is something else. |
