As a Western Australian, I absolutely have to mention Big Jo Angel. No snarl at all about him, no "gamesmanship," but despite that, he was an extremely good fast bowler who could have been a Test regular in many other countries, and who was one of the great wicket-takers at Sheffield Shield level. In fact, he did play a handful of Tests and ODIs with limited success. But we Warriors fans loved Big Jo, the very gentlest of giants.
