As an Aussie i can understand what you mean.. I suposse having a small population gives us an advantage that way.

Perhaps the best thing India can start doing is getting more qualified coahes out into the public. People who are going to coach young kids and perhaps work in the poorer areas of the nation. I know I first got into coaching because it was requiered by the rules of my association if I wanted to coach a junior team. I was also sponserd by my club. At the end of the day though, all the acadamys like the A.I.S, V.I.S ,N.S.W.I.S ect only take in players who generaly already play at a very high level. So long as kids have a bat, bowl and pitch you can always make great players provided they have soebody to teach them.
