I haven't seen a pitch report either, Rachael, but I would be happy for England's openers to bat like this more often. I'm a big believer in the openers seeing off the new ball and building a platform to take the pressure off the middle-order batsmen who are expected to make big scores. With Kallis in such good form, things are looking ominous for NZ that the SA batsmen are still there. Without a pitch report, it's hard to know how effective NZ will be with the soft ball after Lunch.
