I also couldn't understand why for the first tine they opened up with Akhtar, I know they needed wickets but who got all the wickets against India?
The idea behind bowling Akhtar up front probably was because of his pace he is more likely to give Pakistan the sort of start they were looking for to stand any chance in the game. Credit to him, he bowled his heart out, and was the first time in a long while I've seen him bowl that well, unfortunate we never put up enough runs on the board, by the looks of things, even 200 would have been competetive. You are right about the toss though, I don't think Inzi under rated the opposition as such, his view was probably that if we can bat out the 15 overs safely (which he did ironically) there are plenty of runs in this wickets, he said at the toss he though the wicket had turn which could be exploited later on (which it did, Malik bowled tidely and got some sharp spin). What was most surprising was that yesterday he him self came out and spoke about how he thought this surface was not an ideal one-day wicket, and than he knew too that West Indies have been chasing well of late, so even if his side does get a big score on the board, the windies would be in with a chance.

NEVERTHELESS, I've always stated matches are not won or loss because of the toss of the coin, they only affect the result, in the end, it is ultimately how you play determines the result. We didn't bat enough well enough and that's why we lost. Credit to the windies though for bowling in the right areas and then finishing it of quite clinically after the loss of those two early wickets. I hope Lara is alright though, looked in pretty sevior pain when he left the field. Any one has any news on weather he will be fit for the final or not? Also it will be interesting to see if West Indies pick Dillion if he gets fit after all the seamers did so well today.
