| Yes, James Kirtley in about 2000 was 'caught' I believe whilst on tour of Zimbabwe.
I don't think this constitutes racism in anyway. I hardly think Ersan Mani is a white supremacist!?! There are scientific ways of judging whether a player throws - specific guidelines are set down, and if any of these players are being erroneously charged with throwing, then it would soon become clear when the scientific studies into their action are completed. If players are being cleared after being reported by the same referee/umpire then it would become a concern and I'm sure the ICC would have to look into why that umpire/referee was falsely accusing certain players of throwing.
And I don't believe Kirtley was cleared, I'm sure he had to go through the remedial process. |
