Hmmm. The ECB development squad of 25 seems a better size. Does mean making some tough decisions (e.g. Matt prior didn't get in)... but just listing 36 rather than making tough calls doesn't strike me as helpful. In particular is sends a pretty raw message to those who do NOT make the list... at least with just 25 you can leave lots of people thinking they are close to a final squad place...
