As we are getting to the end of the season teams will start looking forward to 2006, this can be the thread to post and discuss any rumours of possible new signings, and done deals and any players released. To kick us off it is on BBC that Hampshire are releasing Lawrence Prittipaul and Derek Kenway. The report has a less than complimentary quote from Paul Terry saying that 'Derek and Lawrence have failed to grasp their opportunities'.
Kenway played 93 first class games for Hampshire scoring 4,382 runs at 29.60 including 7 centuries and 20 half centuries. In one day cricket he played 110 matches scoring 2,616 runs at 26.16 including 2 centuries and 15 half centuries. Kenway was an occasional wicket keeper with 85 catches and 1 stumping in first class cricket and 60/7 in the one day game. Kenway was born in Hampshire and was the Hampshire Cricket society player of the year in 2001.
Prittipaul, also born in Hampshire, played less games (23 first class) scoring 975 runs at 28.67 with 1 century and 4 50's. In one day cricket he appeared in 62 games, scoring 564 runs at 13.11 with only 1 50 to his name. He did however take 23 wickets at 38.69.
