I can probably only talk from an SA perspective. Cosgrove was dropped from the State team as his form collapsed. Cleary is probably only ever going to be a 1st class cricketer. Tait and Cullen are the only players of test class in SA at the moment, although both are exciting prospects. A few others may step up in the upcoming season, but for now, there's a useful smattering of first class players but limited test capacity. They may give the Pura Cup a shake, but it would be on the back of the older players (Elliot, Lehmann & Blewett) rather than the up and coming test players (Tait and Cullen aside).
