Interesting thought. My theory is that they ould prefer to see the more marketable teams such as Middlesex, Surrey, Warwickshire, Lancashire and Yorkshire successful that the likes of us, Northants and Leicestershire. I don't know much about Iain Sutcliffe but Peter Sutcliffe (Yorkshire Ripper) would probably get in our side. We have tried the Kolpak route and it hasn't been succesful and I don't feel it is the way forward. As far as Schofield is concerned it is a good thought. What was the reason for his Lancashire departure, if it was underperformance (I think it was) then he sounds perfect for us.
