A Lancastrian supporter-friend and I were discussing Schofield and Derbyshire a week or so ago. We reckoned he would have to be a better bat than some of those who have contracts at The Racecourse ground. Maybe his personality and alleged arrogance cost him the chance with many prospective employers? A shame really because he had some talent, that's for sure, and maybe Derbyshire could have harnessed some of it.
