At the momment White is living on a reputation and his 'potential'. Right now he is a bits and pices player who has not proformed up to the requierd standards to even hold a CA contract so to hear people touting him as a Steve Waugh/ Shane Warne hybrid is a little premature.

Clarke on the other hand has the runs on the board and the experiance to back up all the hype. Arguments that he is too flashy and un-disciplened are myths which ar'nt supported by facts. If anybody has been taking note, Clarke is far more vaunerable to LBW and the majority of test dismissals he has are from defensive shots like yesterday against Vittoti. Clarke shows class in every one of his shots, just listen to the commentry team sitting in awe as he makes the most difficult and exciting shots look easy. Already he has a test batting avearge of 40 and that looks set to skyrocket if his proformance yesterday was anything to go by. He's had his ruff trot and now we can watch the most talented young batsmen in Aus become a classy middle order stalwart.
