Who will win the world cup

I think we are close enought to the world cup to start the speculations. The teams have already started giving a hit of what shape they are taking....

Australia: The three time world champions dont look that strong any more. The ageing team has some really tough competition to face this time. But they are right there in the competition and still have the ability to beat any team.

England: Probably the second best after Australia. Specifically after the Ashes. But their abilities are being questioned after the recent series against Pak. But thats all test cricket. Do they have it in them to win the world cup? I think they have. With a very balanced team, England have the chance to win the first ever world cup.

India: Definitely the contenders. They proved their worth in Australia in the test series. With probably the best batting line up in the world, India can beat any team in the world. The bowling lineup also looks very good with players like Harbhajan, Kumble and Pathan.

New Zealand: Well, this time again, it looks tough for the Kiwis to even make it to the finals. But then we have the record of underdogs winning world cups. Remember India and Srilanka.

Pakistan: Under the leadership of the grea Woolmer, Pak has emerged strong of late. They just sharpened their weapons on England. But will they be able to continue the perfromances out side the sub continent? Specifically given that they are known for mysterously losing form.

South Africa: They are a very strong team. The way they performed in Indian to draw the one-day series when Indian in such good from was enough to show their abilities. They have the ability to win the world cup. But thats exactly what we all thought before the last world cup also when they couldnt even make it to the super six.

Srilanka: After their performance in India, i doubt what they will be able to do in the World Cup. But I am sure coach Moody has some solid plans for the world cup. Does he have enough time to impliment it though is the question.

West Indies: Say whatever, the home side always has the best chance.

My vote goes to India.

Under a new leadership and a new coach, India is doing very well. With players like Sachin, Sehwag and Dravid the team really looks dangerous. Those who think Sachin is past his best, get ready for some more stunning years from the master. After the 35th centure, he has reflected real class even in the short score he has made. He is making a very good comeback from the injury.

Dont need to say many things about Sehwag. His presence is enough to give the opposition dressing room sleepless nights even if he is running out of form.

The wall will stand in the way of any trouble coming India's way. He is doing a wonderful job as a captain and there is no reason why he cant carry it on.

Pathan has proved his abilities all around the world on every kind of pitch.

Harbhajan and Kumble are in their career best form.

This Indian team is gonna win the world cup.
