I think Jason Gillespie has gone to be honest. Before last year - when I watched him during the Ashes - he had a bit of 'nip' about him. He would run in and hit land the ball on the seam and really get it to nip around a bit. During the Ashes, with help from his shaggy hair-do, he looked only a shade of the bowler we knew. He seemed to have lost a bit of pace and hence the 'nip' with gave him his lateral movement and most of his 250+ test wickets.

It's a shame to see such a guy - still only 30 - end his career in such a way. A few years ago you would have expected Gillespie to finish with a 100+ more wickets and leave on a high before he was past it. It would be good to see him come back, but personally I very much doubt it will happen. Good luck Dizzy!
