| [quote=DomainK ]Well so you like ganguly more than Dravid. But how does that not make Dravid's captaincy a new era?
Personaly I believe that ganguly was a great captain. But a captain must lead with example and lack of form on the part of a captain can have serious implications, specificaly when the lack of form extends for two years.
I do agree it is the new era.. but not a better one, to further my point here are some statistics
dravids average as captain 34.85 in 10 matches and this is with the tons on the two flat pitches India's most successful captain Sourav Ganguly, averaged 37.66 in 49 matches 75 innings with 2561 runs and a highest of 144

Now Domain... compare for yourself and tell me how can you replace ganguly with dravid... ganguly is still playing and with these figures it is atrocious to replace him..... furthermore.. dravids on field strategies are apparent to all.... in the last one dayer in peshawar only.. he bowled irfan pathan out on a trot thus limiting his capacities to bring him on when ajit agarkar was getting blasted all over the ground, and he super subbed tendulkar... who is a well reputed bowling option at the death.... the results are before us... its not just one match sorry... |
