Boeta Dippenaar is not in the same class as Gibbs. OK, Gibbs has struggled over the past couple of years, and it may be that he needs some time out of the limelight to work on his game and work out what he needs to do. Dippenaar has never convinced me. He reminds me of those players you often come across in club cricket, who look nice and correct, and do sod all when it comes to scoring runs. Dippenaar doesn't seem to believe that he belongs in test cricket. He occasionally plays a good innings, and people talk about him kicking on, but then he goes back to being a rabbit in the headlights. I know many people think he's classy, but I've never seen it.
