I asked them a similar question and they said that they have played international cricket themselves and have a good knowledge of the Australian league structure. They also have a few good contacts in Australia to get opinions from and all prospective players are required to submit C.V.'s. The downside with this system is that neither they nor the clubs see the players before signing. They sign players months ahead of the English County season so they have a complete squad by the start of the season.
