| Australia could abort tour Australia could pull out of their tour to India in the row over TV rights. And not a word in this report about their obligations under the ICC future tours programme. Hmm. Report from the BBC here. |

| would be a real shame this - I've been looking forward to this series for a long time, millions of people have been. It's just ridicolous the BCCI can't resolve a pitty issue like this, I know there is a lot of money on stake, but there has to be some way out. There was a similar problem in Pakistan some days back, during NZ's tour here, and the first match was not telecasted at all because of that broad casting dispute. It was later settled after an intevention from the Presiden him self, he also happens to be the patron in cheif of our cricket board sadly. This is typical sub continental - we can get our selves into all sorts of problems from no where. I'd be really disapointed if the series doesn't get underway. And I'd like to add I think the BCCI should have given the rights to ESPN in the first place, Zee is not renowned for its' sports coverage whearas ESPN has been doing a comendable job for some while, I know there is money at stake but even still. From the viewer's perspective I'd rather prefer watching the match on ESPN than Zee. |

| It's sad Nikhil everthing seems to boil down to money these days,TV right seem to take precidence oner everything else, they will have to resolve it, or there will be no winners, only loosers, and joe public would be the main looser. But it is money that will ensure there will be a solution, the tour will IMO go ahead. |

| England players are also pulling out of their next tour. One by one they are making a stand

Yes they are bit by bit pulling out of the tour, but the reason is not money, it is a security and moral stand they are taking. It should not be up to the players, they could not play in a country where not long ago they recieved death threats, you see in England we have the ECB, which has as much backbone as an earthworm, and will not stand up the the ICC |

| Yeah Ernest, it's all about money and there will be a truck load of it for the boards. BCCI is usually the most greedy board and I hate to admit it. They think of money more than anything else. That's why India plays so many ODI's. Just money. This guy Dalmiya is such a darned fool, he can not think of anything but money. There was no reason to give the TV rights to Zee tv, which is a completely non-sport channel. ESPN-Star have done a great job for subcontinental cricket lovers and they deserve to get the rights. As you said, the fanancial matters will be resolved and tour will go ahead.
