Aus vs NZ >> Score Predictions

Aus-NZ are traditionally rivals, and the last time the Kiwis came down under they gave they Aussies a real run for their money, the 4 test match series ended that time in 0-0 draw. This time the trans-tasman rivals are taking part in a 2 test match series? Predict who will win.

Shame it's only two tests, and they are back to back. Given the awful start which NZ has had to the tour with Flemming ill, I can't see them taking a match, I'm afraid. 2-0 to Australia.

My sixth sense tells me NZ will be saved by rain in at least one tes, Australia should prevail in the other.

If the rain holds off in both tests... then australia will prevail 2-0 if not then 1-0 on the cards. We the crushing loss at hands of NSW.. I feel NZ will be outgunned and the aussies will be just too strong.

Maybe I am hallucinating!

I could have sworn I read somewhere that Fleming was out of the first test. Not so, apparently. Teams as presented on the BBC website are:

Australia: Justin Langer, Matthew Hayden, Ricky Ponting (capt), Damien Martyn, Darren Lehmann, Michael Clark, Adam Gilchrist (wkt), Shane Warne, Jason Gillespie, Michael Kasprowicz, Glenn McGrath. (12th man: Brett Lee)

New Zealand: Stephen Fleming (capt), Mark Richardson, Mathew Sinclair, Scott Styris, Nathan Astle, Craig McMillan, Jacob Oram, Brendon McCullum (wkt), Daniel Vettori, Kyle Mills, Chris Martin. (12th man: Hamish Marshall)

Doesn't change my prediction. Still Australia by a canter, I think. Weather forecast for Brisbane: sunshine and low thirties for next few days, cooler on Sunday. So horrible I just wish I was there.

Unhappy

might be some late rain on saturday according to the BOM.

For those of you who dont know about our current weather problems at the momment we are experiancing really wierd climate conditions aparently something to do with EL NINO. In the first week of November we had 81mm of rain when the monthly average is 60mm. I havent played cricket for 3 weeks. Things might be a little weird this summer.

Oram, Mills, Martin, Vettori + occasional bowling from Astle & Styris

Can we call this a bowling "attack"?
