| Recently the aussie team toyed with the idea of resting some of the big names in the pace attack in the hope of keeping the bowlers fresh. I like the Idea and think that it needs to be considered in the age we live in. Players are being expected to play more cricket than ever and a rest would help make sure that when the likes of McGrath and Gillespie play, they are in top form. Not to mention that it might give a chance to the younger players to get a game.

| Certainly a luxury which Australia can afford and most of the rest of us can't. Beny - what about resting McGrath and Warne for a couple of months - say July and August next year? |

| But the replacements for McGrath and Gillespie, if they are the likes of Lee and Bichel, will have trouble getting wickets against quality batsmen. Sure, they will be effective against the current Kiwi batting line-up, but most Test batting line-ups are stronger than Australia's current oppostion.

| Bichel no longer has a CA contract however he is anhialating state batting line ups. Lee can take wickets (they're just expensive). I'm talking about guy's like Tait and bracken getting a go.

| I think that if Australia did rest some of their bowlers, or had some injured, they would still have some other quality bowlers they could use. Australia's cricketing talent is simply amazing, and is quite in-depth too. |
