I do agree that Jason Gillespie will not play England again and i also believe he will not play international cricket again because he a 30 year old bowler in an 35 year old body. He was very good in his early years and was a good bowler before this ashes series. I still belive in form Gillespie is better than Brett Lee and Michael Kasperwich.

There is no doubt about that, Dizzy was a fantastic bowler up until last year.

Brett Lee is going to be very very good over the coming years, and there's always Watson and Tait to come through too. It will be interesting to see how it all pans out over the coming year.

That's just what I said in my post.

There is no difference between us, except that maybe you want to hang on to players longer than you should, England did that for years, and how long since England had a great side.

Lee I picked before the Ashes, one of the most underestimated bowlers ever, because he went for a few, he got ditched, but he got wickets.
Watson, look at his attitude, wants to be like Flintoff, bet he's working on it also.

My point being, Australia have enough talent coming through, except for Warne, IMO the older ones should make way for the new order, squeeze another season ot of McGrath if you can.
Best thing that happened to England was when Gough could not manage to play Test cricket anymore, gave others a chance.

With McGrath in the lineup I would marginally go for the Aussies Bowling Lineup ahead of the Poms to be honest.

McGrath & Warney ... Best 1-2 attack for a long time

Warney is going to play the next Ashes and what a great finish to an awesome career that would be.

So in saying that ... Warney & McGrath for another 2 seasons (including this 1).

If Pidgeon plays in the next Ashes it will be a mistake.

Scared he will demolish the england team again like he did in the 1st test ? He is bowling just as good now as he was 4 years ago if not better as a matter of fact. He has just become the most successfull Fast bowler in test cricket history with the amount of wickets the great man has taken.

He will play in teh next ashes I GUARANTEE you that. McGrath is a Legend & A future Hall Of Famer. SO Is SHane Warne no matter how many women he beds off the field

Cool

i agree lee is agreat bowler isalso avery usefull batsman. The comment about gough ialso agree

however during this years ashes series the ausies did not help themselves with team selection
where was mgill itwas crying out for another aussie spinner to join the attack
Another point a third umpire must be used a lot more .this is a area where one team can
have the attack add
for me aussie add spin dept english in pacedept
