England are a good team getting better.
Australia are a great team getting old.

At some point the young lions will push the old lions out, it may not be this summer but you will have a much tighter series than you seem to expect. With the current line ups England are very deffinately the 2nd best team in the world.

Talking Play time is over now

This overestimation of England,s ability is very amusing to say the least. Beat the three worst teams after Bangledesh and they are suddenly world beaters. Reminds me of this guy i knew in primary school. He went around beating up kids two or three years younger than him, and thought he was Mike Tyson incarnate. Then their older brothers came along and repeatedly gave him beatings so bad, he had to leave school.
For England, the party is almost over. Now they have to start playing the big boys. If i was Vaughan, i would give away his captaincy now and protect his win/loss record. If he stays captain, if the English selectors don,t get him, the English media will when this "mighty" English team is torn apart, piece by piece, by the difficult tours they now have to face.
England.s destruction in the recent tour of Sri Lanka is just a taste of what is to come

Erne and the rest of the England camp will repond to your comments more aptly, but with all due respect I do think England did more than just beat "the three worst teams after Bangledesh", winning so many matches in a row is a commendable effort even if it came against the likes of NZ and WI, SA though not rated that high in the rankings are still a good side, especially tough to beat at home. You can only beat whatever sides you're asked to play against ater all. England definately deserve more credit then you give them. Although you are right probably about their biggest tests yet to come, England have to face Aus at home and then have to hop over to the sub continent for tours to India and Pakistan, these are always tough tours, this year will be a big test for them.

Your comments about Micheal Vaughan and what he should do with his job of captaincy seem bizarre to say the least . Why would he want to resign when he is on the vere of becoming the first England skipper to lead an England side to victory in SA for the first time in what, 60 years if I'm correct, why would he want to step down after being the only captain to lead England to 8 consecutive test wins, and also the first England skipper in 36 years to win in the Carribean - why would he want to resign when he has a team that has the best chance of an Ashes victory then in the past 2 decades at least , why would he resign when he is virtually, on the verge of greatness? To protect his win/loss record you would say...I don't think he is that selfish .

Yes We've been through this... But if you think they are going to be needing hip replacements before the Ashes then you've another thing coming. This is about ashes 2005... Dont change the subject.

Seamer when i found out they'd only beaten two teams in 11 tests it made me wonder as well.

RSA have given them a run for their money and i think Australia will find England out like never before. Beny, if the joke of a side that played us in 2001 won a test i think this side should. 3-1 reiterated.

Just ask David Gower, Mike Atherton, Nasser Hussien what the English media does to Enlgish captain,s that fail (And he will, if you look at England,s upcoming itinery)
No, if he is smart, he will give someone else the poison chalise which is England captaincy
