i meant xavier doherty

but in one of my threads , i put mark cosgrove in my australia A side , so he was not unknown to me , lehmann of the future.he won bradman award.

I think you are focusing on Symonds recent form too much. He saved Australias asses constantly throughout the year. All three thouroughly deserved their awards as have all previous medalists. The lack of controversy since the induction of the Allan Border medal is testament to it,s accuracy and fairness

I understand Seamer he had a good time out of the country, eg NatWest International which i wasn't aware if that game was even played before Border Medal night....And my point is that 5 very good games won Symonds the award whilst Kasper had 8 good games and didnt. That is where i see the fault.

Jumping back on topic for one second, I think Martyn was unlucky not to get the Allan Border medal. While Clarke is good, one golden year shouldn't really take him straight to the top.

Fair point Paoili69. Maybe they need to modify the countback rules to who had the most good games
