Ok. Bevo wasn't a player who could stand up to test class bowlers. First class bowlers he can.

Best ODI player ever. I say yes, but Andrew Flintoff, Kevin Pietersen and Michael Clarke are challenging for that role. In 10 years, when WAT has 10,000 members, I'll make my judgement and say who the best ODI player is

Surprise, Surprise Paoli69. Dont tell me. I suppose you would prefer Harvey over Hopes. Hodge over Hayden. Or Elliot over Hayden. While you are at it i suppose we should bring back D.Jones, P.Riefell, M.Hughes and good old Bill Lawry back into the Aussie 11. In fact why don,t we just replace the Aussie XI with the Victorian XI.
Bevo, you are beating your head against the wall promoting any non-Victorian to the Victorian members of this forum. If Bevo was a Victorian, maybe they would come around to your way of thinking

Harvey over Hopes, yes. Hodge over Hayden, no. And Hahahaha...No not Bill Lawry and no, not the Victorian XI. If you go up north and you're an ok player, you're guaranteed a cap in the Australian squad, thats all.

Bevo unfortuanatly typifies the mid innings sleep music lul that makes overs 15 - 40 of a one dayer seem so boring.

He's a great grafter of ones and two's but seems to lack the power of Ponting when big hitting is needed.

Retire gracefully thanks for the memories Bevo

Queensland and New South Wales have had consistantly stronger squads over the last decade than the Victorians, even South Australia and West Australia have had better representation than Victoria recently.
Hopes is at the start of his career and has the chance to develop, the problem with Harvey is that we have probably allready seen his best.
Its not the selectors fault that no Victorian players are showing the goods for national selection at the moment.

Well, in the Australia A vs. Windies match, David Hussey scored 125 which was needed for AusA.

Hussey made 50 the following day, and on that form, you'd think that Hussey the former should get in. Things like these boggle my mind.
