LOL, Lou Vincent, said his most memorable moment (as he was brought up in Australia for some time) as a junior, was being told by Allan Border to "F*** off" after pestering him all day for an autograph...

Bell as captain- No...He is talented but at least Smithy is outspoken, "my way or the highway" type thing and it WILL pay dividends for South Africa...The only person I could think of is Ash Giles, with not a heap of pressure being one of the lesser likes in the England side, and I believe the captaincy won't affect his game..

The ECB will never make King of Spain the captain, other wise Fleet Street would eat them up

That match wasn't full international status, was it?

Nah, just a warm up match before they got to South Africa, I think. Or might have been Zimbabwe.

In other words...if England win this summer, Vaughan's name will be in the history books for all the right reason...and Ponting will be in the history books for all the wrong reasons. This summer could be the making of Vaughan, but he knows if we lose, his status won't change...Ponting on the otherhand knows that if his team lose...they will go down in folklore as the team that lost the Ashes.

See England have everything to gain and nothing to lose...Australia have everything to lose and not much to gain. There is only one team that is under pressure...and that is Australia.
Your dreaming mate, Ponting has McGrath and Warne if he fails he can always rely upon either of those two, and then he has a lil bloke called Gilchrist lol.
