So has Hoggard. If he had slagged off Harmison of this year i may have agreed but his extra pace would see him chosen.Plus he has outbowled Kasprowicz in the 1 day series.

I'd say the big difference is that whilst Hoggard has been enjoying himself against weak opposition on nice green pitches. Kaspa has been achiving the same stats on dustbowls against India and Sri Lanka.

Yes, i have seen every test England has played since the West indies tour to England. Yes Hoggard is bowling well. And so is Kasprowicz But could i say Hoggard is bowling better than Kasprowicz? Well firstly, they have been playing against different countries. Secondly, they have been playing in different parts of the world.
Impossible to say who is bowling better, and to say so is ludicrous.

They're fast and bouncy as opposed to the sub-continent where the ball wont bounce above the waist.

Afew years ago there was a period of complete dominance by the aussie bowling attack that was the envy of the cricket world, this year that attack is in the midst of gaining momentum for another assault on the ashes away from home. why on earth would the host team allow the series to be played at the end of the english summer when a quick look at the regime of this pace attack would show that they WERE weary, battle fatigued and vulnerable. I liken the test dates to allowing a punch drunk boxer 2hrs between rounds to compose themselves. On top of that they set up a competition which involves the worst test nation (Bangladesh), despite their spirited win, to run them into form with no pressure and then allow the Aussies a good look at the english line up in a three match rehearsal. Steve Waugh ran down the english list in the local paper today giving them every chance of winning but the hope was based on the mental ability of the english not the skill of the very competent Harmison, Flintoff & co. If this is how the english will win i don't understand how they can allow the aussies this red carpet ride to the opening test.
