Adam Gilchrist

Who do you think will be a suitable replacement for Gilly? I would say Brad Haddin based on his current form for NSW. And I would like to say what a nice website you have here.

Welcome, Gilchrist.

I say Haddin....We must remember though that when Haddin takes over, he will be 30 or 31. He will then have five-six years left in him before he hands over to a 26 year old Crosthwaite. We are covered in the wicketkeeping department- albeit none as good as Gilly.

Out of those guys its Haddin but Paoli69 is right. Haddin will be old himself when Gilly retires so I guess it will be up to the new blood.

I would take the young Queenslander Chris Hartley. I watched him make a hundred on debut for QLD and he looked really good ableit a bit slow. Anyway i think they need to introduce youth into the team when the current stars retire so i would try to stay clear of introducing older players into the team.

If the Aussies wish to maintain the balance they currently enjoy having a keeper/batsman, they will have to go with Haddin. He is a sound keeper and an excellent attacking batsman.
