You're kidding, aren't you?

http://content.cricinfo.com/australi...ry/207311.html

Brad Hodge has been the target of NSW....

Victoria next year, this is how we'll look without Elliot, Harvey, Moss Hodge AND Inness

Jewell
Arnberger
Buchanan
Hussey
Klinger
Joseland
Crosthwaite
White
Lewis
Wise
Cassell

One of the biggest disgraces of a "cricket team ever"

On the contrary, this it what we'd look like if we gave Inness and Moss the heave-ho only.

Elliot
Arnberger
Hodge
Hussey
Jewell
Harvey
White
Crosthwaite
Lewis
Wise
Cassell

Not bad. If we lose Hodge, I'm gunna pack up mi bags and head north. Or south!!

Acctualy I think this is quite a good thing. There plenty of good young batsmen who are proforming in club cricket but can't get in ahead of the likes of Hodge and Hussy. If this is the case then I'm hopeing to see some of this years u/19 players getting rookie contracts...

Iness wasent getting a game anyway which is a disgrace considering his talent and recent form!

It sticks in my mind that the summer before last I heard David Hookes on ABC Grandstand saying that he thought of the Victorian quick- bowlers, Wise would break through to the international ranks.

Including suggestions Harwood and Lewis maybe were to old, and Innes not getting a regular enough game.

Beyond the grave -- maybe
but very close to reality still.

Big danger

In the newly created "lets develop a young aussie side" atmosphere after another victorious ashes win by punter's men.
Cameron White & David Hussey may get called up after the triumphant post ashes retirements of Mathew Hayden & Justin Langer ???

Come on, we can ill afford to lose Brad Hodge. He has been our premier batsman for the last 6-7 years. Elliott, he is probably past it. Jon Moss, not exactly the greatest cricketer. We can probably afford to lose Inness as well. But Hodge needs to stay, losing Brad Hodge will signal the death of Victorian Cricket. As for Under 19 players, we cant stack a side full of them. We need the likes of Hodge to guide.

God knows how Lewis got a CA contranct... Most overated player in the country. Inness is a superstar and very unlucky to be out of favour.

Poali, Brad Hodge himself only got into the team because of an exodus whilst he was still young. Were just allowing some of our young talent to get themsleves a shot and prove to be just as good if not better than the guys who are leaving.

You sure you don't work for the Herald Sun.

I remember what they said about NSW when they lost the likes of S and M Waugh as well as other 'irreplaceable' players.

The fact is, Beny, is that Lewis is as good as other world bowlers, such as Hoggard, Kallis, Jones, Streak, Martin, Daren Powell, but the fact therein lies is that he is nothing more than your mediocre medium pacer...

As for Hodge, we cant lose him. NSW lost M Waugh and S Waugh when they were finished. No I don't work at the Herald Sun!!! You wouldn't happen to work for the Cricket Australia Junior Program would you??

I reckon it may just be a ploy by Hodge to get a larger contract from the VCA. Bet any money he plays for VIC next year

I wish.

I'm not sure that Lewis is as good as the likes of Hoggard, Jones and Streak. I've seen nothing personaly to set Lewis apart from all the Other Aussie bowlers.
