I draw the board's attention to these words from Seamer. They are extremely significant, being the first ever indication from their speaker that there's a competition under way here.

Why have you censored the word 'send' Seamer?

Believe me I did'nt censor it. Must be automatic which is a shame because the edited line does not give my actual feeling justice. My anger is not so much that he is getting smashed - it is the fact that i KNEW this would happen and i am still being forced to endure his pathetic efforts. This thread dated back a long time and i have been argueing this lone for longer. Australia are making this series very difficult for themselves (and thier fans)
Leafy Seadragon????????????????? I TOLD YOU SO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can't see him being picked for Australia again after this series and if that is the case then it is a sad way for an excellent player to end his career.

Problem is that they should have dropped him after New Zealand. My thoughts are they he got into the side due to what he has done and not what he has been doing.

It does look like Gillespie best days are gone. I doubt he will be starting the next Test unless he pulls it out from tomorrow.
It may look if Australia's days of four man attack is coming to an end. There was a time when Australia could play a four man attack. They defenitely need five bowlers or four and one good part timer ( possibly Symonds).
To have a four man attack they all have to be good that's why England play five and well SA it doesn't matter how many we play.
My suggestion is for the next Test is Symonds and Tait in. Katich and Gillespie out.

Don't be supprised to see Katich make a good score on this pitch. It will play similar to Lord's pitch when Katich played well in the second innings.

I don't think we will stop using 4 bowlers, even when McGrath and Warne where not in the side Australia where playing one 4 recognised bowlers.

Don't get me wrong OF - i still think Australia has too much class to lose this series. I am just saying that it seems the only way they will sack him is if we lose the series.
It is like a champion marathon runner eating a bucket load of salty chips and hitching on a bag full of rocks on his back just before the race. He might still win, but he is making things hard for himself. The Aussie team has many champions but it is hard to win when dragging a rotting corpse along with you.

I was pulling your leg, mate. But I'd be worried if your above comment were right. He's got to go at the end of this match, surely. I'd say if he turns out at Trent Bridge Australia really will be taking a risk with the urn. Can't see you guys doing that, somehow - we always said England are going to have to win The Ashes, because Australia sure as heck won't try to lose them.
