Yes, don't get me wrong OF. I am certainly not denigrating England. They are playing bloody good cricket - too good for my liking - and we cannot afford to carry deadweight. Yes Paoli, there comes a time when careers must be ended. Unlike others such as Dean Jones, Bill Lawry, Ian Healy to name just a few, Gillespies dropping is deserved. I have no faith that the selectors will do the right thing though. Really, he should not even be given a game in the tour matches. Kaspa, Tait and Clarke should be given the chance to fight for his spot. He is selected for his bowling and it is only on that can he earn his spot. They could drop one of the openers and select him as a batsman however

Don't think the total is in any danger, but Aus could easily bat out for a draw it is a very flat wicket. On a side issue, will Clarke be fit to play?
