Leicestershire are putting up a better fight in their second innings. 136 for no loss at the moment.

Gillespie 7 1 36 0
Kasprowicz 7 1 20 0

Yes, there are still question marks over certain members of the team. Clarke failed again - that guy will not survive the tour i bet. Lee inconsistant - can get wickets on his day but can get smashed the next. Gillespie and Kaspa still lacking penetration - both have a chance to secure a spot but niether are taking it. Kattitch failed - i personally don't rate the guy and generally go to sleep when he bats.
All in all though, the batting linup looks in decent nick, but concerns still exist over the bowlers. This game proves nothing except save if England can counter Warne and Mcgrath, they might just be in with a chance.

Aus bowling minus McGrath and Warne:

Bowler O M R W
B Lee 7.0 2 40 0
J N Gillespie 16.0 6 44 0
M S Kasprowicz 8.0 1 25 0
S C G MacGill 14.0 0 86 0

Not too much of a problem if both those guys stay fit. But if one gets injured ... and for the future ...

No answers yet on the Dizzy/Kaspa affair as they had a chance to nail down a spot and neither took it. Worrying signs for the Aussies. Maybe they should bring back Bichel.
I still think Kaspa should get the nod, but feel Gillespie will.
The positives for England is the fact that the Aussies lacked penetration to dismiss an average team. The English just need to counter McGrath and Warne and they will be on their way. Australia can not rely on those two bowlers to win the series alone and someone will need to step up when the time comes.
Also, what about that Rogers! England are certainly be producing some talent now.
