| Teams for Australia VS Worcestershire The Australian XI Matthew Hayden, Justin Langer, Ricky Ponting (capt), Simon Katich, Brad Hodge, Michael Clarke, Brad Haddin (wk), Jason Gillespie, Michael Kasprowicz, Shaun Tait and Stuart MacGill. Worcestershire Vikram Solanki (capt), Stephen Moore, Stephen Peters, Graeme Hick, Ben Smith, Zander de Bruyn, Gareth Batty, Kabir Ali, James Pipe, Matt Mason, Nadeem Malik, Ray Price (12th man to be named). Australia have rested five of their big guns for the second-Test warm-up against Worcestershire, but rain threatens to curtail the traditional Ashes tour fixture. Bad weather has forced the cancellation of the side's final training session at the New Road ground and it is predicted to continue through the three-day match. |

| I'm surprised they've not found a place for Gilchrist: he's looking terrible right now... and surely needs the practice. |

| Looks like Worcs have put out pretty strong side. I hate it when counties put out weakened sides and gift victories to the tourists. Eyes will be on Vik Solanki, Kabir Ali and Batty I feel.

| My eyes will be on Ray Price mainly TTFC!!! And looking forward to seeing Brad Hodge in only his second match for an Australian tourist side do well and crack a massive ton which I hope leaves him in good stead for the rest of the series. I think he'll get a call up. And, Shaun Tait. Is he cut for international level or does he need a few more years? The latter, I think. Good luck to the lad. |

| Hayden and Langer both got half centuries. Haydens 79 contained 15 boundaries! Kattitch and Clarke failed. Aus 196/4. hope they declare soon so the bowlers can have a go

| In a three day game where the first day was all but washed out and the result is not in doubt, it must make sense for Australia to declare late today or overnight. However, Ricky Ponting may still value an hour or so at the crease himself (9 and 42 in the Lord's test), so I'd not expect a declaration for a while yet, unless his wicket falls.

| 266-6 at the moment and the side has 5 or the top 6 from the first test against England. Might be good news for Harmison, Hoggy & co.
