Three changes ?!?!

That'll be an Aussie record Beny!

I'd play:

Langer
Hayden
Ponting
Martyn
Clarke
Hodge
Gilchrist
Warne
Tait
McGrath
Lee

Hayden for mine looks only one game away from notching up a big score. He shouldn't be getting out in the 30's but he looks as if he is getting closer and closer with every game I see. His timing has started to come into its own and as it progresses so will his state of mind and his demoralising power.

I'd be livid if Hussey got a go over Hodge. Hodge has proven himself enough to be considered as reserve batsmen and if we were to drop one he'd get a go. Same with the drafting of Stuart Clark; I thought he was well and truly gone; lost his CA contract in 03', didn't play for Australia A, and Shaun Tait, who took 65 wickets this season, deserved a go as he'd been in the original sixteen as second-back up quick. I cannot stand the fact that players not in the squad leapfrog other players who've worked the arses off to get there.

That was the most stupid insipid sellecting decision ever made, Trevor Hohns needs to be terminated (sacked if neccesary) for allowing Stuart Clark to be McGrath's stanby replacement when their are including Tait six other better credentialed pace candidates including the recently departed Bichel.
Trevor Hohns also needs to be terminated because of his reluctance to regenerate the Aussie team with youth which should have been taking place 2 years ago. Our selectors current Dads Army policy is digging a bloody big hole for Aussie cricket to get out of. What would the 19 year Don Bradman thought if confronted with the current Aussie sellectors..probably that possible test selection was another 7years off.

We have been over this one Acker and i was in total agreement. Then someone asked "Who would have you dropped, how would it had been justified, and who would of replaced him?" Damn good question because form has dictated everyone selection. Apart from Martyns extended form slump, no-one has done poorly enough to get dropped which is why we are now in this position.

Well for what's worth at this point I reckon Tait looked better than Kasper and should retain his spot.

Hayden - QED.

Pointin used all his luck batting for 7 hours last Test. These things tend to even out.

Marto, gotta feel for the guy.

Clarke is vindicating my right hander theory.

It remains to be seen if Katich or Gilly can do anything.
