True greatness of character is being able to step up to a role even if not suited to it and deliver a performance full of courage, resolve, and pride.

The header of this thread is wrong, Australia does have it's best warrior left who will fight to the death. Dont count your chickens before they hatch Shane Warne's still at the crease. Hopefully in the near future he will be known as.

Sir Shane Warne Hero Esq

Mr Warne may be a true great of the game but the English establishment still tends to suffer from being so far up its own rear end that it hasn't seen light since the mines closed .
For that reason and Shanes somewhat checkered personnal history I think he may well be some distance behind Sir Glen McGrath.

(Don't forget we don't have a Sir Ian Botham either, and his charity work has been astounding. Sir Geoffrey Boycott I think got his before the legal issues with his ex girlfriend and the black eye came to press. Lovely man Sir Geoffrey and I for one really find it hard to believe...)

Back on purely cricket grounds, one hell of an innings, shame he missed out on his maiden test century, still the man of the match prize should help him with his maintenance payments.
