Damien Martyn - What are you good for? Again we see Damien Martyn failing to make runs in the World XI v Australia. He gets out through a stupid rash shot. Damien Martyn - what are you good for? can't bat, can't bowl... For those who keep defending Damien Martyn's place in the Aust cricket team...pls explain why he can't seem to get a decent score even at home in Australia?

Ahm. Isn't he the same man that averaged over sixty the year before the Ashes series? Oh yea, he is!
| |||
Who cares if he averages 200 the year before? he is averaging under 20 now...no team needs to carry an ageing underperforming duck when there are good young players out there to blood. So what you are suggesting is if the whole team had averaged over 60 in the last year but average 10 in the current year, they should not make changes picking the current team for this year and all future years mainly because what they did in the past and not present? Gee I wonder if that happens in football...baseball, basketball etc...

Um, it happens in baseball all the time, with the amount of games being played. Players can go a sesason without performing well, esp. the good ones like Martyn. One series doesn't suddenly make him an old man who doesn't perform. So fickle. Check 2nd odi scoreboard.

Come on Every one he is going through a lean patch and i think he still has a lot in him to do well at any level of cricket, he is an excellent timer of a cricket ball
