*Pfft* No chance. It's the Sainters next year and for a few after that, unless they establish themselves as another Port and choke, choke, choke!

Back to thread...The Adelaide Oval, widely regarded as the most picturesque ground in the world, maintains that status by its lovely rolling hills; alot like Adelaide really, and the good thing about the new stands is that they aren't too modern; they have bucket seats, but rather than a steel roof overhead, it's a lovely tarp.

The Adelaide Oval gets my vote as well - though I've never been to Launceston so maybe I can't really vote in an informed manner! Not sure about the most picturesque ground in the world though: I think I'd give that one to Newlands in Cape Town (again, restricting my input to the few test grounds I've visited).

Where you get the nerve to class Telstra Dome as the best ground in Australia is beyond me,The playing surface is the Worst I have seen in my life,it is made up of hundreds of patches, some with grass some without,in my opinion it should be banned as a playing arena until someone gets their finger out,and makes it at least decent looking.

Living in Brisbane I have to say the Gabba, it's a great place to watch cricket.

I have to agree, it was a pleasant change to see test matches coming from different grounds in Australia for once.

I Think I'm Biased

I think im biased but i love the adelaide oval. Ive watched cricket at every other ground except bundy rum and hobart. I just think the scenery adds to the experience. Another fantastic ground is the basin in new zealand, with the hills of wellington surrounding, i saw NZ vs India there when there were like 20 wickets in a day of a test match. Tendulkar made 50 out of about 90 that India made. I also met Daniel Vettori.
